The Malaysian Islamic Party (Pas) is questioning whether ministers in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government will heed a warning issued by UMNO's Ulama Council. The council urged non-Muslim ministers to be more careful when commenting on Islamic issues. Pas leader Datuk Ahmad Yahaya expressed doubts about the ministers' willingness to listen, citing instances where UMNO Youth chief Datuk Dr. Akmal Saleh was dismissed as insignificant for defending Islam's sanctity.

He said the directors and authorised signatories of Jendela Pinggiran issued blank cheques, giving 'carte blanche' to Najib who then handed the cheques over to the two defendants. 'Evidence will show that Najib was the shadow director of SRC and his knowledge of the source of funds and the manner of its use or abuse will be imputed on the defendants.'
