Older Australians are not an “issue or a problem that needs to be solved” but part of the community, according to Council on the Ageing CEO Patricia Sparrow. Ms Sparrow is calling for older Australians to be given the support needed to stay in and reenter the workforce and hopes the intergenerational report will deliver for the older generation. “We’re looking on policies that support the entire population,” she told Sky News Australia. “If we get it right for the entire population, we’ll get it right for younger people and older people and all generations to come.”
