After months of discussion, the Parma City Schools Board of Education last week was supposed to vote on an agenda item that if passed would allow district security members to carry firearms.

After receiving a first reading on Sept. 14, the legislation was pulled last minute before Thursday’s Board of Education meeting.

“Obviously, it’s an emotional issue. It’s a polarizing issue, in some regards. So with each step, your fine-tooth comb gets a little finer.
