The annual Parish Sale at St Stephen's Church brought together parishioners from 49 churches in a show of unity and generosity. The event featured a wide array of activities, including live music, lucky draws, and numerous stalls selling homemade goods, food, and drinks. Proceeds will support various church initiatives and community outreach programs.
The St Stephen’s Church compound was bustling with parishioners from the 49 churches who came together in a display of unity for this year’s Parish Sale . Over 2,000 people visited the stalls that lined the car park, transforming the space into a vibrant marketplace. This year’s event, themed “It is more blessed to give than to receive”, marked a significant milestone.
It was conducted on a grander scale than ever before, featuring a live band that entertained the crowd and lucky draws with a Perodua Bezza as the grand prize. Each of the 49 churches had set up their stalls with dedication, selling a variety of homemade foods, handicrafts, jungle produce, artworks, barbeques, and drinks. There was even a photo booth for attendees to capture memories. The Catholic Nurses Guild organized free health screenings, and the Parish Youth Ministry lent their support with promotional activities, entertainment, and the sale of essential goods. Proceeds from this year’s Parish Sale will be used to fund activities in 2025, maintain the church, and support outreach programs for the community
