He was responding to a statement by Pakatan's presidential council that it would not seek to dissolve their state assemblies should snap polls be called at the federal level. On the subject of the premiership, the minister said the matter had been discussed by Muafakat Nasional, which had stated its support for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin."Should a snap polls be called in the near future, we will back him," said Annuar, adding that both him and PAS secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan had been mandated by the Muafakat Nasional secretariat to engage Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.
