KUANTAN: The Pahang Mentri Besar is calling for action to be taken against a Federal minister for alleged insolence towards the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said he considered it rude for Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin to utter inappropriate words against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in a television programme.
"Therefore, appropriate action must follow in order to uphold the principles of Loyalty to the King and Country, as well as Decency and Morality as enshrined in the Rukun Negara," he said in a statement on Thursday . She said there should not have been any kind of public statement from Istana Negara, as it was"not proper in this constitutional monarchy system".
Ahmad Zahid had challenged the government to call for a special Parliament sitting immediately to prove that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin still had majority support.On Tuesday , Ahmad Zahid announced that 11 Umno MPs had retracted their support for the Perikatan Nasional government and Muhyiddin as Prime Minister, and that statutory declarations from the lawmakers had been sent to the King.
