Police arrested a 42-year-old man and seized suspected shabu worth P1.8 million in a buy-bust operation in Purok 4, Barangay Bolocboloc, Sibulan, Negros Oriental on Sunday, Aug. 13.
The Police Regional Office -Central Visayas identified the suspect as Ian Rey Completo of Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete City.
Completo, a high-value individual, yielded 265 grams of shabu valued at P1.8 million, a motorcycle, marked money, and drug paraphernalia. Recovered illegal drugs were turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination while drug charges have been filed against the suspect. In a statement, Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, PRO-Central Visayas director, said that policemen in the region is committed to suppress the proliferation of illegal drugs and strengthen the operation against wanted persons.
“Your days are numbered,” he said, as he warned them that policemen are aggressive in the war against illegal drugs.
