More than 100 persons deprived of liberty graduated from the alternative learning system inside the Cebu City Jail Female Dormitory, according to a report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday.
At least 48 PDLs graduated from elementary and 81 from junior high school through the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology’s "Tagapangalaga ko, Guro ko" program, the report said. According to the Jail Chief Superintendent Efren Jimeño, this was part of the PDLs’ rehabilitation program to prepare them for their release from jail.-- Richa Noriega/ BAP, GMA News
