The 2.75-mile multi-purpose trail connects eastern and western Summit Lake Communities and serves as a connector to the 101-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
, along with the city of Akron and Summit Lake residents, will hold a ribbon-cutting event on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. to celebrate the recently completed Ohio & Erie Canal Summit Lake Trail.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is open to the public and includes remarks from Dan Rice, president and CEO of the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition; Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan and Summit Lake residents Sandy Saulsberry and Sean Blake.
