Taking to its official Weibo account, HONOR announced that the smartphone will be released in China at 7.30pm on 5 July 2023. A new HONOR was previously spotted getting TENAA certification in May and given the timing of the X50’s release, it is likely that they are the same device.
No official specs or features were mentioned by the company, but the official render does confirm that it would have a circular camera module at its rear. In the module’s centre, the words “Matrix AI Vision Camera” is imprinted, with the lower centre revealing that the device would have a 108MP main camera.
According to the aforementioned TENAA listing, the X50 will sport a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. Under the hood, there’s the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, a 5700mAh battery, an 8MP selfie camera, 108MP main + 2MP depth rear dual-camera setup and Android 13 via Magic UI.
