Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have officially announced yet another sale in this transfer window.
Henderson spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, and was expected to join the Tricky Trees permanently until an injury ruled him out for most of the second half of the season.
The one-time England international once went on record to criticise United for wasting his time, claiming he was promised regular first-team football before the club loaned him out to Forest. David de Gea kept his position as the Red Devils' No. 1 until the arrival of Cameroonian sweeper-keeper Andre Onana, who has started in all three of United's Premier League matches so far this season.
Henderson, meanwhile, was named on the bench in all those games, but will now continue the campaign at Selhurst Park.
