Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki says four defeats into the start of the season are unacceptable for his side.
Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki says the four defeats for his side are unacceptable as they suffered a loss to Cape Town City.
Ntseki said while they have signed good and talented players, it is not good for Chiefs to lose four matches as they lost 1-0 on Tuesday night at FNB Stadium. The former Bafana Bafana coach, Ntseki admitted that the last losing four matches out of nine games in the DStv premiership is unacceptable. In their next league match, Chiefs will welcome Golden Arrows at Mbombela Stadium just before the end of the month – Ntseki and his men will look to make amends.
“It’s a bad result, when you look at the plan going into the game, we knew it could have been two wins in a row, we were looking forward to playing well and winning this game.”The seasoned mentor, Ntseki looked at their finishing and expressed concerns as they failed to find the back of the net despite creating chances at home.
“But if you don’t score goals and concede in the way we did, you will likely lose the game, but I think if you look at the balance of play, we were very much in the forefront trying to keep possession and being more offensive,” he added. In the loss to Eric Tinkler’s City, Ntseki made changes in his starting eleven and brought in veteran keeper Itumeleng Khune for Brandon Petersen while in-form midfielder George Matlou was replaced by new signing Sibongiseni Mthethwa.
