An investigation has found no evidence of sabotage after a sport utility vehicle (SUV) nearly fell from the third floor of Hospital Sultan Idris Shah's parking building in Serdang yesterday evening. Sepang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman, stated that the driver admitted the incident was due to their own carelessness. The 39-year-old driver explained that he accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal, lost control, and crashed into a wall on the 3B floor of the multi-storey car park. The car involved was a Honda WRV. The driver was unharmed and in safe condition. The accident caused the car park barrier wall to break and debris to hit a Toyota Avanza parked nearby. The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act (JPJ) 1987. Upon conviction, the offender faces a maximum fine of RM10,000, imprisonment for up to 12 months, and the offence will be recorded on the driving licence.
