The weather bureau on Saturday spotted two LPAs within the country, but both have slim chances of developing into tropical storms, at least over the next 24 hours.
p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the first LPA was 265 kilometers northwest of Puerto Princesa City in Palawan. Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres said the LPA had low chances of becoming a tropical storm in the next 24 hours.
Another LPA was also spotted 1,010 km east of Mindanao, but had not yet entered the Philippine area of responsibility as of Saturday. Torres said Metro Manila and the rest of the country would continue to experience hot and humid weather with some cloudiness and isolated rain showers. —DEMPSEY REYES
