A judge-only trial hears the farmer allegedly murdered by a sex worker in 2016 had an 'underbelly' life he wanted to keep secret.
The trial of a sex worker accused of murdering a farmer more than seven years ago has begun in Dubbo, in central-west NSW.Mr Dickie was last seen at his neighbour's house in Elong Elong on June 14, 2016Robert Dickie, 71, was last seen at a neighbour's property at Elong Elong on the morning of June 14, 2016.
The court heard she arrived in Dubbo on June 10, 2016 and, on the morning Mr Dickie went missing, the pair allegedly visited a neighbour's property, where he introduced Ms So as "a very good friend".When the neighbour asked how long she would be staying, Ms So allegedly told them it would be permanent.
While no body has ever been found, it is alleged Mr Dickie died as a result of injuries inflicted by Ms So, who then disposed of his body and telephone. "It will be part of the crown's submissions that is a lie by the accused to divert police," Mr Shaw said.
