Sky News Weather Meteorologist Bradlyn Oakes says New South Wales is watching for “very dangerous weather conditions”. The fire danger rating has risen to ‘catastrophic’ towards the south coast of the state and is being watched ‘very carefully’, Ms Oakes told Sky News Australia. “We have seen two fires in southern New South Wales go from advice level – to watch and act level.” Areas such as Bega have risen to 36 degrees with Sydney at 34.5 degrees. “Many areas throughout New South Wales are jumping above that 30-degree mark,” Ms Oakes said.
