The West Coast Expressway (WCE) Section 2, a 7.2km stretch between the South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) and Shah Alam Expressway (SAE/KESAS), officially opens to the public on January 22nd. Toll-free travel will be available until February 21st. This new section, combined with the previously opened Section 1, significantly reduces travel time from Shah Alam to Banting to just 25 minutes. The WCE aims to boost Port Klang's logistics hub status and spur economic growth in surrounding areas. While rest & service areas are not yet available along the WCE, several EV charging locations have been established by DC Handal, including a new 240kW Autel MaxiCharger on the Section 2 route.
will soon be accessible to the public. Officially called WCE Section 2, the new 7.2km portion of the highway covers the route between the South Klang Valley Expressway and Shah Alam Expressway .The public can start to utilise the route from 12:01 AM tonight .
The new linkage will also provide quicker access to Port Klang which is meant to boost its status as one of the country’s main logistics hubs. Aside from reducing travel time, the implementation of WCE aims to spur economic growth and new opportunities for the surrounding townships and communities.At the moment, three more portions of WCE including Section 3 , Section 4 , and Section 7 have yet to be opened to the public.
This includes the newly opened Section 2 route through the deployment of a 240kW Autel MaxiCharger with two CCS2 nozzles
