New KTM Komuter schedule due to KVDT2 project – starts Jan 20, Port Klang – KL Sentral line, free buses
The changes involve the Pelabuhan Klang – KL Sentral – Pelabuhan Klang line, and will start on January 20 for weekdays and January 25 for weekends and public holidays. The rail operator says that train frequency has been improved to every 30 minutes. How did they achieve that considering the works on the track?
Basically, trains will only head from Port Klang to KL Sentral in the morning, and from the city towards Klang in the evenings – there will be six services in the AM and another six in the PM. The majority of commuters travel to KL for work in the morning and return home in the evening, so this makes sense. Check out the schedules below.
In addition, KTM will be offering free feeder buses for commuters to/from the Subang Jaya station from January 17. The buses will operate from 7am to 11pm daily with a frequency of 30 minutes. There are five routes – see the graphic below for full details., which translates to today’s inconvenience is for future convenience. In April 2024, folks from the north of Klang ValleyDanny Tan loves driving as much as he loves a certain herbal meat soup, and sweet engine music as much as drum beats.
