It caused landslide, falling trees, collapsing of houses and flooding. Now the water has receded but it is forecast that there will be heavy rain in coming two days.

"Officials are helping those faced hardships because of heavy rain. Most of the cases of falling trees and collapsing of houses occurred mostly in Aye Yeik Nyein ward,” said a local of Kawthaung. Fishing at sea is unable to continue during these days as Taninthayi Region has experienced heavy rain and strong wind.
