The 40-year-old host of ABC Melbourne Breakfast shares his day on a plate.
Breakfast radio beckons! A glass of water and a banana.Poached quail eggs with a medley of roasted root vegetables. A small pot of spiced porridge on the side with some thin apple shavings and a drizzle of honey.Mushrooms on sourdough with sharp cheddar omelette drizzled with a velvety balsamic reduction. Plus an almond croissant. Second coffee: short black.Try to keep it light for lunch with a slow-roasted suckling pig on a spit, washed down with posset .
No greens. One Tim Tam.Having the fanciest day on a plate I’ve read and making me look up “posset”! You have a good mix of nutritious and less-usual foods here including venison, a really healthy lean meat.Have to watch you don’t gain weight. All this rich food may also impact your gut health as it has too few healthy fats and not enough fibre.Dropping one meal so you have three meals a day. Swap the butter for extra virgin olive oil and the croissant for almonds and blueberries.
