PETALING JAYA: As Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad prepares to leave for a three-day working visit to the United Kingdom beginning June 15, he says on his Instagram account that his hope for the country rests with the young.
"I plead with the young generation, please learn and grasp every kind of knowledge to transform Malaysia into a developed country. Acquire all skills. Strengthen your inner character. Hold firm to religion and noble values.
"Reject corruption firmly. Inculcate truth, honesty, and justice. Let us work together and unite to create a bright future for Malaysia," said the Prime Minister, who will be meeting Malaysian students during his visit. "I am scheduled to deliver a talk titled 'Democracy in Malaysia and South-East Asia' at the Cambridge Union as well as meeting UK key investors and industry players to strengthen bilateral trade.
"I will also be meeting students from the United Kingdom and Eire Council of Malaysian Students ," the post on Dr Mahathir's Instagram account read on Friday ," he said.
