“I’m definitely picky about my beauty routines.”
At that point I do have a set bedtime, which makes me feel sad and like I’m back being a kid. I’m like, “I don't want to go!” So yeah, that part is annoying, but it’s very necessary because you feel ready to play. For rehab, I use Normatec compression boots, but more so when I have injuries. So I travel with those as I need to, and compression machines for ice too.
There’s a whole physical therapy center traveling with me that I like to have just in case I need it. Because it does make a big difference.I think a big part of wellness, or taking care of yourself, is setting boundaries. Like, “Well, I got to sleep, catch you later.” But setting boundaries is as important as it is empowering, too, when you can just say “no,” or “that doesn’t work for me,” and just be able to have that kind of conversation around it. It’s the most empowering, wonderful thing.
