A Gold Coast woman has gone missing half an hour after calling police over a robbery at her home, where officers discovered evidence of bloody violence and the doormat on fire.
Emergency services were called to an Elanora home about 3pm on Tuesday over her report of a burglary.Detective Superintendent Brendan Smith said Wendy Sleeman had made the report about her son, Slade Murdok, who had a contravention order in place, after she saw him at her workplace.“Within that half an hour of her reporting the crime and then police attending, she’s disappeared,” he said.
“Now it’s 17 hours or so since she was last heard from, it’s very important that we get community assistance.”“There’s been some ongoing issues from probably about 2016 so there’s been support from various government agencies along the way and unfortunately, it would appear that’s failed,” he said.Murdok was believed to be driving a blue Honda Jazz bearing Queensland registration 952AT4.Smith said police believed they might be in the Brisbane area.
