KOTA TINGGI: A motorcyclist suffered injuries and abrasions after he was involved in an accident at KM29 on Jalan Sungai Rengit-Kota Tinggi at 3.30pm on Tuesday (Aug 23).
Kota Tinggi OCOD Supt Hussin Zamora said another male rider escaped unhurt in the incident after his motorcycle entered the opposite lane.
“Initial investigation showed both of them failed to control their motorcycles and entered the opposite lane,’’ he said in a statement. Supt Hussin said the road was wet and slippery when the incident took place as it was drizzling, causing the road to be dangerous for motorists. He said the victim who suffered minor injuries had hit the tyre of a stalled lorry laden with bitumen.
Supt Hussin said both victims received outpatient treatment at the Bandar Penawar clinic while the lorry driver was unhurt.Supt Hussin advised motorists to always be aware and obey the traffic rules and regulations for their own safety while on the road.Article type: free
