In Perlis, another relief centre has been opened at SK Arau Hall after more areas are inundated by floods.
KUALA LUMPUR: There was an increase in the number of flood evacuees relocated to shelters in Kedah and Perlis while the figure in Sabah remained the same as of 8pm today.
The head of Kedah’s disaster management secretariat Major Suhaimi Zain said one more relief centre was opened in the Kubang Pasu district tonight. “All victims housed at the two centres are from the Temin sub-district, comprising Kampung Nangmah, Kampung Paya Nong Mi, Kampung Paya Lantau, Kampung Beru, Kampung Kubang Kayu and Kampung Bendang Tok Leh,” he said in a statement.
