More Batu Pahat flood evacuees return home

THE flood situation in Batu Pahat continues to improve as the number of victims at relief centres in the district sees a decline at 8am today. The State Disaster Management Committee said the number fell to 10,396 people seeking shelter at 51 centres compared to 13,872 at 59 centres last night. According to JPBN, the relief centre at SK Seri Aman has the most number of evacuees at 552, followed by SJKC Li Chun and SJKC Tongkang .
Three rivers are still at the warning level, namely Bekok Dam in Sungai Bekok , Sembrong Dam in Sungai Sembrong and Sungai Senggarang in Senggarang .
