Let AI do its thing 😎 Microsoft TechNave

Microsoft not only announced a bunch of new Surface products at the Surface event, but it also presented something that could take on the tools offered by Canva and Adobe. Designer has arrived as a graphic design app powered by DALL-E 2, an OpenAI technology, which helps to generate images according to the phrases you type in.

Starting with a blank canvas, users can get creative by typing whatever they want in their designs and letting the AI do its thing. On the official site, a GIF shows that simply typing in 'Kitten adoption day' will generate various related templates for use. Besides that, it also helps generate one-of-a-kind images based on random descriptions, such as"a grumpy koala wearing a robe, holding a goblet" or"a party as a clay sculpture.

If you're interested, you may now put yourself on the waitlist through the official website. The app is said to provide access to a preview soon. It'll also eventually be part of the Microsoft 365 suite of apps such as Office and will be accessible through Microsoft Edge and Bing. After this, Canva and Adobe are preparing to announce several improvements for their products at MAX 2022. Let's wait and see how they're going to top this.
