KPDN tidak pernah pun mengeluarkan arahan khusus bagi mewajibkan semua kedai makan menyediakan Menu Rahmah kerana ia terpulang atas budi bicara sendiri yang faham situasi pasaran mereka.
PUTRAJAYA: Pelaksanaan Menu Rahmah bukan bertujuan menjadikan peniaga makanan yang terlibat bertambah kaya, sebaliknya ia kaedah sukarela bagi membantu orang miskin.
Beliau berkata, Semalam, tular laporan media atas talian yang mendedahkan segelintir pengusaha kedai makan menanggung kerugian kerana menawarkan Menu Rahmah dengan mendakwa hidangan semurah RM5 itu mengakibatkan bisnes bertambah teruk dan tidak mendapat sambutan daripada pelanggan kerana sajiannya terlalu sedikit.
