In a statement today, Adly said he had met with the Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Datuk Seri Utama Dr Mohd Khalil Yaakob over the matter about 4.30pm.
Adly said the call was in line with Article 7 of the state constitution which states that any chief minister who loses the majority support through the vote of no confidence in a state assembly should resign from the position, unless the Yang di-Pertua Negeri on the chief minister’s advice dissolves the state assembly.
The Parti Amanah Negara state lawmaker was appointed chief minister on March 11, 2018, after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th General Elections.
