PETALING JAYA: MCA will attend the signing of a charter between PAS and Umno tomorrow, saying the collaboration between the country’s two largest Malay-based political parties was “inevitable”.
It also said that before the signing of the charter and a memorandum of understanding, Umno had discussed the matter with them and fellow Barisan Nasional component MIC. MCA said Umno had agreed that the unity gathering was meant to reach out to all races and had come to a consensus of not violating the spirit of moderation, which was espoused by BN.
