MCA president Wee Ka Siong has retained the Ayer Hitam parliamentary seat, according to unofficial results. With just about 1,200 votes uncounted, Wee leads by 2,524 votes. Latest results from MCA show Wee bagging 16,559 votes while Pakatan Harapan’s Sheikh Omar has 15,309. Perikatan Nasional’s Muhammad Syafiq Aziz has 10,953 votes.Wee’s figures show him improving on his 2018 performance, where he won by a narrow 303 votes against DAP’s Liew Chin Tong. – November 19, 2022.
