MAYC: Muhyiddin's appointment augurs well with youth associations

MAYC president Mohd Syahbuddin Hashim said as a former Youth and Sports minister and Muar Youth council leader, Muhyiddin has good understanding of the role and responsiblity of youth associations.

“We hope the prime minister will make a wise and appropriate decision in appointing the new Youth and Sports Minister,” he said in a statement. According to Syahbuddin, the youth associations in the country had been in disarray for the last 22 months, as the previous Youth and Sports minister had no experience and failed to understand the associations’ needs.

“We hope the new administration will not make the same mistakes on matters related with youth associations in the country.”
