BATU PAHAT: A 46-year-old man was detained by the police after a video recording of him driving against traffic flow made the rounds on social media.
“He was driving along the road when he suddenly entered the opposite lane and continued driving despite oncoming traffic. “Based on the video, we tracked down the suspect and detained him and his vehicle at around 3pm the next day,” he said in a statement.The case was investigated under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving recklessly and dangerously, which is punishable with a jail term of not more than five years and a fine of RM5,000 to RM15,000.
