Two men are on the run after a triple-stabbing at a Melbourne CBD strip club, with one victim fighting for his life.

An altercation broke out at Lonsdale Street gentlemen’s club The Men’s Gallery at about 6am on Sunday. Two men were taken to hospital, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with serious injuries.Venue owner Peter Iwaniuk, who describes his club as “an iconic Melbourne brand like Moulin Rouge in Paris”, said the stabbing occurred in the club’s bathroom shortly before closing time.

“There was hardly anyone in the club at the time. We were winding down, getting ready to close,” he said.“I’ve had this place more than 30 years and we’ve never had anything like this before. “There are people coming in and out of the club all the time. We don’t have regular customers like a pub.”The venue has been cordoned off and the intersection of Lonsdale and King streets closed as police investigate.
