A 25-year-old man from eastern Kyoto, Riku Hotta, has been arrested in Japan for allegedly kicking a rabbit on Okunoshima Island, which resulted in the animal's death. Authorities are investigating the death of over 70 rabbits on the island since late November, with potential causes including disease, cold weather, or human factors. The island, known as a tourist destination with over 1,000 free-roaming rabbits, is being closely monitored by authorities.
