I was sooo nervous, but what I also learnt was that my car could still drive more than 50km after reaching the empty tank signal.' - Jean, 31 years old 2. 'I never knew there were multiple levels of the 'E' signal' 'I used to always pump petrol soon as soon as my fuel meter reached the final bar and the yellow 'E' warning signal popped up. But one day, since I was rushing, I bit the bullet and kept driving. 'That's when I realised that the yellow 'E' signal can actually turn red, followed by zero bars in the fuel meter.
