According to the post, Indonesian citizens record an average of 3,513 steps a day, placing them first among the least active, while Malaysians follow closely in third place with an average of 3,963 steps daily. The research, which analysed data from over 717,000 people across 111 countries, found that residents of Hong Kong are the most active walkers in the world, logging an average of 6,880 steps per day.
The study highlighted that the walkability of cities significantly increases activity across all demographics.
