A Malaysian elderly woman was robbed and injured after being tasered by one of three suspects who approached her outside her house in Johor. The incident occurred on Chinese New Year's Eve.
A Malaysian senior citizen was robbed outside her house recently, sustaining minor injuries after being tasered by one of the assailants. Police received a report about the incident at approximately 8:06 PM from the elderly victim, who resides in Taman Skudai Baru in Johor . According to a statement released by the PDRM, three suspects riding two motorcycles approached the victim while she was outside her home.
One of the suspects brandished what is believed to be a taser, demanding the victim hand over her handbag. When she resisted, a struggle ensued, causing the victim to fall. The suspect then fled with the handbag. The victim suffered minor head injuries and lost RM1,500 during the incident, which occurred on Chinese New Year's Eve, Tuesday, January 28th. PDRM is actively investigating the case under Sections 395/397 of the Penal Code for robbery in a group and using a weapon, and Section 6(1) of the Explosive Corrosive Substances and Dangerous Weapons Act 1958. The police have also issued a public reminder to avoid displaying valuable items in public and to remain vigilant when outdoors
