Malaysian preacher Ebit Lew has won a defamation lawsuit against Indonesian influencer Mondy Tatto, who had accused him of sexual assault. The case has since been dropped, but Lew is seeking further legal action against another influencer, Caprice, whose podcast platform was used for the initial accusations.

In 2023, Malaysian preacher Ebit Lew filed a police report against Indonesian influencer Mondy Tatto after she accused him of sexual assault. A year later, in 2024, her rape case against him was dropped following a police investigation. Now, it appears the preacher has emerged victorious in his legal battle with the influencer. Taking to his Facebook page, Ebit Lew announced that Mondy, whose real name is Dita Restu Amanda, has been ordered to pay him RM20,000 in damages for defamation.

He expressed his gratitude to Allah for the court's decision, stating, 'Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to Allah that I won the lawsuit against Mondy, or Dita Restu, and she has been asked to pay me RM20,000, which was decided by the Shah Alam Sessions Court.' Ebit Lew's legal triumphs don't end there. He revealed that he has another lawsuit pending against a local influencer, Caprice, who hosts a podcast. The case is scheduled for May 2025 after a year-long wait. His legal action against Caprice stems from an episode on her podcast where Mondy Tatto made her allegations against Ebit Lew. The controversial episode has since been removed from all platforms. This development comes amidst ongoing discussions and debates surrounding online defamation and the responsibility of social media influencers. Laws regarding online defamation are constantly evolving, and this case highlights the potential consequences of making serious accusations without sufficient evidence. The legal battle between Ebit Lew and Mondy Tatto has sparked a wave of public commentary, with many expressing their views on the matter. The outcome of Ebit Lew's upcoming lawsuit against Caprice is likely to further fuel the discourse
