Malaysia 's National Para athlete Muhammad Ammar Aiman Nor Azmi secured a silver medal for the country in the men's 400m (m) T20 (intellectual disability) event at the Dubai 2025 World Para Athletics Grand Prix Championships on Wednesday. Muhammad Ammar Aiman, clocking a time of 49.33 seconds, finished just behind Paris 2024 Paralympic Games bronze medalist Yovanni Philippe from Mauritius, who took the gold with a time of 49.10 seconds.

This impressive performance marked the culmination of the national team's campaign in the United Arab Emirates, where they achieved a commendable 19th place overall.The Malaysian contingent's success was bolstered by two gold medals, three silver medals, and two bronze medals earned throughout the competition. Muhammad Nazmi Nasri from the men's long jump event T36/T37/T38 (physical disability) secured one gold medal, while Muhammad Noorhelmie Mohd Rabi claimed another gold in the men's 100m event T12 (visual impairment). Noor Imanina Idris, in the women's shot put F20 (intellectual disability), and Mohd Shahmil in the men's shot put F53/F54/F55/F56 (physical disability), each contributed a silver medal to the team's tally. Muhammad Amirul Alif Abdul Raof, competing in the F55/F56 men's discus throw, and Siti Noraidah Suherman from the F20 women's shot put event (intellectual disability), both earned bronze medals. India emerged as the dominant force in the tournament, clinching the overall championship with a stellar performance of nine gold medals, eight silver medals, and four bronze medals
