Mohamad Nazir Saad, a 48-year-old man from Kubang Pasu, Malaysia, is facing financial difficulties after being diagnosed with a suspected brain tumor. The tumor has caused him to become weak and unable to work, forcing him to sell his goats. His family relies on his wife's small cake business and zakat contributions.
Mohamad Nazir Saad, 48, has been suffering from headaches for several years, which severely impacted his daily work. In August, he was struck by an epileptic seizure and taken to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah (HSB) in Alor Setar for treatment. Medical examinations revealed a tumor in his head, suspected to be brain cancer , requiring further attention. This diagnosis has significantly affected his life, causing him to become weak and unable to work.
Nazir mentioned that his memory and vision have also declined, likely due to the growing tumor. He was forced to sell his nine goats due to his worsening condition and inability to care for them. His wife, Nor Hasniza Mohd. Tahir, 38, stated that their family currently relies on her small-scale kuih (Malaysian cakes) business, which generates around RM500 per month, along with RM300 monthly zakat (Islamic charity) contributions from Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK). Nor Hasniza also suffers from health issues, diagnosed with heart problems, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure five years ago. She often struggles to bake due to her health and has to frequently travel to Hospital Tuanku Fauziah (HTF) in Kangar for treatment. Despite their hardships, they prioritize their three children's education, aged 14, 11, and seven, ensuring their studies are not neglected. Previously, doctors informed Nazir that he might need surgery costing RM70,000
