A historic victory at the 2025 Indonesia Masters has propelled Malaysian men's doubles pair Man Wei Chong - Tee Kai Wun to a career-high world ranking of 12th in the Badminton World Federation rankings. The sixth-seeded Malaysians stunned the crowd at the iconic Istora Senayan in Jakarta, defeating home favorites and top seeds Fajar Alfian-Muhammad Rian Ardianto in straight sets, 21-11, 21-19, in just 38 minutes.
This remarkable win moved Wei Chong-Kai Wun up one spot from their previous ranking of 13th, accumulating a total of 65,490 points.Meanwhile, national women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, who finished as runners-up in the 2025 Indonesia Masters, have solidified their position in the top five, reaching their career-high ranking last achieved in January 2023.
