Malaysia 's preparations for the 2025 SEA Games and the implementation of the Non-Work-Related Accident Scheme ( SKBBK ) are among the key topics to be discussed in the Dewan Rakyat sitting on Wednesday (Feb 5). Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden (PN-Alor Setar) will question the Youth and Sports Minister about Malaysia 's targets for the 2025 SEA Games and the ministry's readiness following Thailand's decision to revamp the event by adding 15 events and removing 10 others.
Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (BN-Ayer Hitam) will seek clarification from the Human Resources Minister on the implementation mechanism of SKBBK to safeguard individuals affected by non-work-related accidents. He will also inquire about the scheme's capacity to address challenges arising from work and non-work risks in light of the increasing prevalence of flexible work arrangements among Malaysian employers. Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee (PN-Beluran) will question the Agriculture and Food Security Minister on the comprehensive reform strategies implemented by the ministry to protect the reputation and integrity of the National Farmers Organisation (Nafas), restore members' confidence, and strengthen its management and operations. Meanwhile, Kamal Ashaari (PN-Kuala Krau) will ask the Rural and Regional Development Minister about the success of the Orang Asli Human Capital Development Programme under the Department of Orang Asli Development (Jakoa) in elevating the socio-economic status of the Orang Asli community. He will also inquire about the ministry's plans to cultivate more entrepreneurs within the Orang Asli community through the Rural Entrepreneur Digitalisation Programme, along with skills training and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
