The Malaysian Education Ministry (MOE) is launching a nationwide initiative to instill anti-corruption values in students through the 'Duta Sahsiah Kit' and the 'Generasi Madani MOE' program.
The Malaysian Education Ministry (MOE) is dedicated to bolstering its fight against corruption through the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) for 2024-2028. As the lead ministry for Strategy 1: Education , the MOE is tasked with raising awareness and understanding of anti-corruption practices. This responsibility is being fulfilled through six sub-strategies, designed to be implemented in both short- and medium-term phases.
One key initiative under the NACS 2024-2028 is the successful launch of the 'Duta Sahsiah Kit' on November 25th, 2022. This kit serves as a catalyst for cultivating the 'karamah insaniah' character among students, emphasizing noble values and exemplary conduct. The 'Duta Sahsiah Kit' aligns perfectly with the ministry's primary focus for 2025, which is to enhance the delivery of educational services and broaden the scope of the 'Generasi Madani MOE' initiative to encompass all civil servants and educational institutions. The kit is packed with various training modules and reference materials that delve into crucial aspects such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving. These are fundamental elements in the development of the 'karamah insaniah' character. Moreover, 'Duta Sahsiah' (Character Ambassadors) are carefully selected as role models to actively promote and embody noble values and positive behaviors, including discipline, integrity, and responsibility. The MOE remains steadfast in its commitment to strengthening ethics, integrity, and anti-corruption awareness through education, as outlined in the NACS 2024-2028. This commitment is vital in combating corruption, a persistent challenge that remains a central focus in national reform efforts
