: Malaysia memerlukan lebih masa untuk meneliti cadangan Thailand mengenai program visa bersama dengan enam negara Asean lain untuk menarik lebih ramai pelancong asing ke rantau ini.
Beliau berkata Thailand ingin mendapatkan peluang yang bakal hadir daripada gabungan enam negara Asean yang mempunyai potensi dalam pelancongan dan ekonomi. Perdana Menteri Thailand Srettha Thavisin sebelum ini mencadangkan inisiatif visa jenis “Schengen” atau bersama dengan Kemboja, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar dan Vietnam bagi merancakkan lagi industri pelancongan di keenam-enam negara itu yang menerima ketibaan pelancong asing berjumlah 70 juta orang pada tahun 2023.
