The Malaysian government admitted that a royal warrant allowing former Prime Minister Najib Razak to serve his remaining sentence under house arrest exists. Fahmi Fadzil, the government spokesperson, stated that the document was not hidden and that he, as the Communications Minister, was not aware of it. The government is awaiting legal advice from the Attorney General on the matter.

Kelmarin, Najib berjaya mendapat kebenaran memulakan prosiding semakan kehakiman bagi suatu perintah untuk memaksa kerajaan atau enam pihak lain menjawab dan mengesahkan kewujudan Titah Adendum.
