Malaysia Airlines flight MH79, traveling from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur, was diverted to Ho Chi Minh City's International Airport in Vietnam due to a technical problem. The aircraft, carrying 147 passengers and seven crew members, landed safely at 10:40 am local time. Passengers are being transferred to alternative flights to reach their destinations, with some provided accommodation at nearby hotels. Malaysia Airlines expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and emphasized that passenger safety remains paramount.

“Demi keselamatan, juruterbang bertugas membuat keputusan untuk melencongkan pesawat bagi memastikan masalah itu dapat diperbaiki sebelum meneruskan perjalanan ke Kuala Lumpur. Jelasnya, Malaysia Airlines juga kesal atas kesulitan dan gangguan perjalanan penumpang di mana keselamatan mereka tetap menjadi keutamaan kepada syarikat penerbangan itu.
