Malaysia faces Trinidad & Tobago today in a bid to avoid a last-place finish at the 2025 Men's Indoor Hockey World Cup.

Malaysia 's final match in the 2025 Men's Indoor Hockey World Cup against Trinidad & Tobago today will be the team's last chance to redeem themselves after a disappointing campaign. The squad led by Mohd Rodzhanizam Mat Radzi will compete in the 11th and 12th place classification match at the Zatika Sports Centre, Porec, Croatia, with the mission of avoiding a last-place finish. 'We don't want to end the competition at the bottom.

The players need to step up and give their best in this last match,' said Rodzhanizam. 'We hope to finish in 11th place for tomorrow's final match,' he added. Malaysia once again suffered defeat against Argentina 2-6 in the 9th to 12th place classification match, following another disappointing loss to the same opponent 2-5 in the group stage. To make matters worse, the national squad concluded their group stage campaign against Germany and Iran without a single point, placing them at the bottom of the standings. Rodzhanizam acknowledged that his players showed good effort but conceded that weaknesses in finishing were the reason for failing to achieve positive results. 'They played very well but lacked in some aspects,' he said. 'We had chances to score, but failed to capitalize on them well. That's what needs to be improved,' he added
