THE low pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is likely to dissipate within the day, the weather agency said, Thursday.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the LPA was seen 800 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon.'While its trough or the extension is bringing cloudy skies and rain showers over Visayas and Mindanao, it will not directly affect the country within the next hours as it is about to dissipate,' weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo said.
Another LPA outside PAR is being monitored and was seen 1, 850 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration .Pagasa said it is not ruling out the possibility that the LPA outside the country will turn into a tropical depression within the next few days.Meanwhile, the areas of Northern Palawan and Kalayaan Island will experience cloudy skies and isolated rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or habagat.
