The Lotus Emeya Hyper-GT EV got its official launch for all its three variants today, alongside the brand's new flagship store.
Last month, Lotus Cars Malaysia announced an exclusive preview for the car that the brand calls its first electric Hyper-GT car, the Lotus Emeya. Now, the company has officially launched the EV in question, alongside the opening of the company's flagship store.
For starters, despite all variants of the Lotus Emeya sharing a dual-motor config, the base and S models feature a single-speed transmission, while the R gets dual-speed instead. This means the former provides 603 bhp and 710 Nm of torque and a century sprint speed of 4.15 seconds, while the latter gets 905 bhp and 985 Nm of torque, and 0-100 km/h 2.78 seconds.
On the flip side, there are some things that the S and R models of the Lotus Emeya share instead of the base model. For instance, the former make use of 21-inch wheels while the latte uses 20-inch ones instead. It's the same story with the front brake calipers, with the former using six-piston calipers while the later uses four-piston ones.
